Five things that made me feel good today....

5. Glad I made this list limit at 5 because I couldn't have filled a top ten.

4. With my hail damage money, and my T-bone accident money, I can finally pay off my car loan. (I was t-boned last week. It spun me around like a top. It kinda felt like a huge round of bumper cars at the carnies)

3. I ate pizza for lunch and tacos for dinner.

2. There was a possibility that I was going to pay out the ass for a home loan that didn't go through, but...But I am only shitting 250 dollars instead of 5 hundy.

And the number one thing that made me feel good today....

I saw an old dude driving his mother (easily in her 80's) to the grocery store. As we passed, I saw him take a pull off of a Busch Light Silo. To top it all off, the cops were only two cars up.

It's good to be the king.

Fri_ay F_ll - I_

Ok...I'm going to steal a bit off of Howard Stern this week for the fill-in. It's called F, Marry, Kill. I'm going to name 3 people, you have to tell me who to F, who to Marry, and who to Kill. (if you don't know what F is, you're reading the wrong blog - go check out Howard Stern for details)

Here are your choices: Martha Stewart, Ellen DeGeneres, and Oprah Winfrey
(I know it is hopelessly hard this week, please take your time in answering)
(Ladies, you can play too, this is the year of Gay marriage and all)

F

Marry

Kill

Good Luck!
That's all I got.

Long time no blog!

The further I am from my computer the less I feel like blogging. It calls to me almost daily, but I have been ignoring it.

I don't have much to say as of late. I did see a guy in some sweet zubaz pants the other day. The cool zebra print ones. Where does a guy get his hands on zubaz anymore?

I had something witty to say but it has left me. Sometimes I think about blogging right before I fall asleep, and when I wake I can't remember what ever great idea I had been thinking about. Is that old age, or dead brain cells due to excessive alcohol use during my college years?

I farted next to my wife tonight. SBD, it stunk. I tried to play it off and look like I didn't know what she was talking about. She asked why I had that surprised look on my face. We are the only two people who live here, I don't know why I thought I could fool her. What? What are you talking about? She wasn't real happy to say the least. It was pretty rotten.

That's all I got.

Money Maker....

I have a great idea that I would like some feedback on. It's a remake of an old card game, except it will be a spanish version. The game is called Uno in the english version, but I will call it One for the spanish version.

It will be so easy to make, it will be just like Uno. The numbers will be one, two, three, four, and five, ect.. Each card will have a different color, like roja, verde, azule, ect. ect. And, instead of a "wild card", I will make a "loco card". There are skip cards and reverse cards, but my spanish isn't that great at this moment, so I will have to do a little research

What do you think?!

Just think of the learning opportunities alone! All of our spanish speakers can be learning to count in english while playing a game!

Plus, there could be One Attack, with the machine that spits out any assortment of cards and they have a new dice game callled Cinco, I think I will redo that game too and call it, Five.

Leave of absence.....

Sorry everyone, I have been away from my computer for a while. I still need to thank Haws for the Menacing Goose image, it's a winner. Thanks to those who shared advice as well. I won't know if I got the job till early this week. I am hoping I do, I paced outside the office with my headphones on(Slayer...my old psych up music of choice) and even did some rope skipping in the hallway prior to the interview.

For those who missed it, here is a late Frida_ Fill-i_:

1> Red-head, Brunette, Blond or sultry Black?

2> Shaved, Shaped or Shrubbery?

3> Tanned or Pale?

Once again, thank you for your participation.

UnProfessional Wrestling....

I have to interview for a assistant wrestling coach position tomorrow. My buddy Turf claims I will have to bring my jock because I will have to do some grappling.

So, I am going to show up in my singlet, complete with headgear, and see if that will show my dedication. Should I take him down in the principals office, or ask them if we should go to the gym?

Big Head Todd.....

On my way home from grading tests this week, I happened to notice a small s10 pickup driving next to me. In the cab was a dude with the biggest head I have ever seen. This dome was huge. Now, you have to understand that my wife claims I have a big head (only because hers is a miniture one), and my best friend has a large head (he is 6'6", so it matches his freakishly large frame) and we have a friend with a large head (doesent fit into size 8 hats, he has to cut a slit in the back to make them fit).

It appeared to me as if this guy was all head. Plus, he had that common big head look on his face, kind of opened mouthed, droopy eyes, and one of those big wiskey noses. To top it all off, he had those extra large glasses on, to shade his melon. He reminded me of a guy I know who had to tear out the foam in his batting helmet to fit his skull into while playing baseball.

Well, I guess making fun of people is all I got tonight....

Weekend News and Views...

For those of you observant enough, that listen to Bob and Tom, I did steal some of that title from Larry King, People, News and Views....oh well, copying is flatery right?

Here are my weekend thoughts.

1- I noticed a few more style points to try/retry at work this weekend. One is to wear the striped overalls, with a colored dress shirt, and a matching tie (this looked SHARP), and wear some wingtips instead of boots. Then you top it all off with a old guy seed company jacket and a straw hat (very SHARP). The other is a classic look most often attined only by young boys, the overalls with no shirt. Make em' cutoffs and your on your way to white trash GQ. But boy is it cool, both figuratively and literally.

2- I went out to drink some beers with Goose and his wife. It was great fun at a place that claims to have the coldest beer in Iowa. I will let you in on their little secret, not only do they use frosty mugs, they use frosty pitchers. It was good and cold, and went down nice and smooth.

3- If it looks like a blog, and smells like a blog, it's probably a blog.

I will try and get the blog-o-the week going again. It appears to be the wrong colors on my screen...plus I havent had time to find any new blogs lately. I did'nt think I would like the "black" look, like Turf's, but now I am jealous, maybe it's just the blue writing...I don't know.......

The Cure for all ills......

I have to make a confession. In my younger years I actully liked a few Cure songs. I was one of those public radio listeners who listened to a lot of college radio (you know, The Cure, REM - before they were cool, INXS, Dead Milkmen, and the sort...).

Now, one of my favorite bands of all time, maybe THE favorite, 311, has come out w/ a Cure remake of Love Song. This is pretty cool, because I like the song and the remake. As long as Hexum doesn't start wearing lipstick and eye-liner we should be OK. That is a duty left to Robert Smith (not to be confused with the Robert Smith of the Minnesota Vikings).

On the thougth of remakes, does anyone know who recently remade Darling Nicki by Prince? It's a hell of a remake also. Someone should look into remaking the best stripper song of all time by Prince. Pussy Control.

Do any of you have a favorite remake? Let's hear about them if you do.

Jumpsuits and grampa-jeans.....

After reading a post over at Bones Inc. about the LCP, and seeing several old dudes at the Nursery this weekend, I had a few thoughts.

Why don't more dudes where those jumpsuits? They would be even easier than overalls! Plus the come in many colors. What do you say guys, lets make jumpsuits the "IN" thing again. Plus, there is a lot of space to sell advertising on, you could have Nike jumpsuits, and fubu jumpsuits, the possibilities are endless.

Grampa-jeans, you know what I am talking about. Those powder blue ones, with the gold stitching. They look real soft, and if gramma is still around, sometimes she has them ironed. Where do you get those jeans? I have never seen any in stores. Is there an old guy store, kinda like the big-n-tall? I would like to see the looks on peoples faces as I walk down the street in my "Grampa Jeans".

Then, I could add one of those old cowboy style shirts, complete w/ snaps instead of buttons. Snaps are cool. Then my wife could rip open my shirt, and I wouldn't have to sew the buttons back on.

That's it, I am getting some grampa jeans and cowboy shirts with snaps. Don't be surprised when everyone starts wearing them.
